Why Become a Member?

Joining the Gold Coast AFL Umpires Association offers numerous benefits and opportunities for local umpires.

With membership packages tailored for adults, juniors, and associates, the association provides essential training and game day equipment through fundraising and donations.

New Adult members receive a GCAFLUA training shirt, while returning members with receive a GCAFLUA hat, and access to senior social events, monthly BBQs, grand final appointment events and discounted end-of-season dinner.

Junior members benefit from receiving an AMCE Thunderer whistle or a scorecard holder, along with a training shirt and participation in monthly BBQs and junior grand finals appointment events and discounted end-of-season dinner.

The association advocates for the best interests of local umpires, ensuring they receive the support and resources needed to excel.

Adult Membership – $30

This is for Gold Coast and Northern Rivers based umpires, who are turning 18 or over in the calendar year

Junior Membership – $10

This is for Gold Coast and Northern Rivers based umpires, who are turning 17 and under in the calendar year

  • New and Returning members will receive either:
    • an ACME Thunderer Whistle (if you’re a field or boundary umpire)
    • Scorecard Holder (if you’re a goal umpire)
  • New members will also receive a GCAFLUA training shirt
  • Monthly BBQ events after specific training sessions
  • Discounted Junior Grand Finals Appointment Event
  • Discounted End of Season Dinner

Associate Membership – $5

  • This package is for family members or supporters of Gold Coast and Northern Rivers based umpires
  • Monthly BBQ events after specific training sessions
  • Junior & Senior Grand Finals Appointment Event
